Stepa – one of Finland’s most respected and distinctive rap artists

Stepa, whose real name is Joni Stenberg (born 1987), has established himself as one of Finland’s most respected and distinctive rap artists. Originally from Sodankylä, the rapper has also been described as a voice of northern Finnish rap. His music combines a relaxed, warm atmosphere with thought-provoking, profound lyrics. His message is driven by two powerful forces: peace and love. Stepa has released eleven albums and collaborated with artists including Gettomasa, Paperi T, JVG and Eevil Stöö.

Tohtori Getto has been described as “KPC’s most mysterious member” and has received particular praise for his smoky and hard-hitting rhymes. Early in his career, the artist was a member of the rap group Korstoraatio, after which he continued making music as a solo artist. A torchbearer for the Memphis sound, he has collaborated with rap veterans including Gettomasa, Lauri Haav, Kriso and Lyta. Tohtori Getto is known, among other things, for his double singles that have amassed millions of streams: GG Allin/Tohtori Getto, Koiramies/Joutsenmerkkijäbä and Yo!(kotibileet)/Tohtorin tarina.
