Pauli Hanhiniemi comes to Toppila for a club performance.

Hanhiniemi is best known as the vocalist of Kolmas Nainen, a band founded in 1982. He has also performed as the vocalist of Pauli Hanhiniemen Perunateatteri and the folk music group Hehkumo, as well as releasing solo albums. Hanhiniemi has been navigating the waves of the music world for more than 40 years and can be considered one of Finland’s masters of song lyrics. His texts have left a significant mark through both his own music and songs by other artists. Hanhiniemi’s music draws from ordinary people and their lives.

Some of Pauli Hanhiniemi’s best-known songs include Äiti pojastaan pappia toivoi (1989), Tästä asti aikaa (1990), Valehtelisin jos väittäisin (1990), Hyvää ja kaunista (1990), Lautalla (1991) and Muutkin mokaa (2014).
