Black Devils feat. Ile Kallio & Janne Louhivuori for a special Hurriganes show at Toppila Klubi in November

Featuring two legendary Hurriganes guitarists, Black Devils feat. Ile Kallio & Janne Louhivuori will perform at Toppila Klubi in Oulu on Friday, 27 November. Known for their impressive live shows, the band will play Hurriganes’ biggest hits and live favourites, without forgetting new material and rarities.

“The band’s goal is to honour the original and give the audience a proper journey back in time, while the new releases with Ile and Janne also turn our eyes towards the future. In September, a book written by Topi Salmi, 30 vuotta hurrikaanin silmässä, will be published, along with a new album! Welcome to the show!” says J-P Kakkola, who leads Black Devils.

Black Devils, currently celebrating their 30-year career, have worked with Ile Kallio and Janne Louhivuori in recent years. The band’s studio albums Get Ready! (2024) and Hooked (2025), as well as the live album Debaser Stockholm (2025), have received high praise from fans and critics alike and reached the top end of the album charts. Black Devils have also previously worked with Remu and Richard Stanley, the producer of Hurriganes’ Roadrunner album.

In 1971, Black Devils was reportedly one of the names considered for Hurriganes. In the end, Remu thought of Johnny and the Hurricanes, and the rest is history. Honouring the roots of the original Hurriganes through their name, the core line-up of Black Devils consists of J-P Kakkola (vocals, drums), Tero Salminen (bass) and Matti Kähkönen (guitar).
